Call for Papers: ICA Pre-Conference “When AI leaves the chat” in Glasgow
Research Unit “Communicative AI” is hosting a full-day pre-conference at the ICA 2027 Annual Conference in Glasgow on 3 June 2027, and the call for papers is now open.
We invite empirical and theoretical contributions on how communicative AI is transforming societal communication: how it is imagined, developed, regulated and legally framed, and how it plays out in journalism, politics, education, health and everyday life. We welcome work from all theoretical and methodological traditions, including work in progress.
Submission: extended abstract (max. 1,000 words) plus a short bio (max. 100 words) as a single PDF to comai@uni-bremen.de
Deadline: 31 January 2027
Participation: free of charge, no ICA membership required
