ComAI-Lectures

Three new recordings of the ComAI Lectures with Axel Bruns, Benedetta Brevini and Christian Greiffenhagen are now available in full length on the ZeMKI YouTube channel.

The lecture with guest speaker Prof. Dr. Axel Bruns, entitled “AI as Research Assistant”, deals with the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) for the analysis of media content, especially for controversial and polarizing topics.

In her lecture, Prof. Dr. Benedetta Brevini will address the often overlooked environmental impact of AI technologies and present the concept of an “eco-political economy of AI”, which analyzes the ecological costs along the entire production and usage chain.

The third lecture with Prof. Dr. Christian Greiffenhagen shows how customers in Chinese self-service hotels use facial recognition kiosks not only to take over tasks from hotel staff, but also to adapt their bodies to the machine and react emotionally to it.
