Best Poster Award for Rahel Winter (ECC 2026)
Rahel Winter won the Best Poster Award at the 11th European Communication Conference (ECC 2026) in Brno.
The award was presented during the poster session for early-career researchers, organized by YECREA, the ECREA Young Scholars Network. The audience voted, and Rahel’s poster on her dissertation project about resistance to AI received the most votes.
Rahel Winter’s poster showcases a comprehensive overview of her cumulative dissertation, which examines the (in)visibilities of communities resisting broad and uncritical adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). These (in)visibilities and the mechanisms that enable them are explored across both news media and social media platforms through a mixed-methods approach. This dissertation, which is supervised by Prof. Dr. Cornelius Puschmann in the Lab “Digital Communication and Information Diversity” (DCID), is being written as a part of the Research Space of the DFG Project FOR 5656 “Communicative AI”.
Congratulations, Rahel Winter!
