Florian Hohmann
Research Associate in the Coordination Project/Research Space
Florian Hohmann has been working at the ZeMKI since September 2018, initially as part of the DFG-funded project “The sustainable provision of software for cross-media practices and digital traces research”, now in ComAI’s coordination project. He studied Communication Science at the University of Erfurt from 2005 to 2008. After a subsequent year of parental leave, he also studied for a Master’s degree in Children’s and Youth Media at the University of Erfurt from 2009 to 2012, graduating with a thesis on gamification applications in everyday life using the location-based service “Foursquare” as an example.
From November 2012 to the end of October 2013, he was a research assistant at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the University of Hamburg, standing in for Ms. Juliane Finger on parental leave. From October 2013 to September 2018, he was a research assistant in the working area of the Rudolf Augstein Professorship at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Studies at the University of Hamburg.
