Andrea Heisse
Research Associate P7 "Personal Sphere"
Andrea works as a research associate and doctoral candidate in the ComAI project “Personal Sphere: Companionship and Communication” at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Vienna.
Building on her studies in Communication Science (BSc) at the University of Amsterdam and in Social and Cultural Anthropology (MA) at the University of Vienna, Andrea is conducting a multi-sited ethnography on the intersection of bereavement support and AI companions.
Her research interest lies in understanding how ComAI is socially transforming the way we support those who are grieving. The theoretical focus of her research is communicative constructivism.
